This delicate teapot was made entirely by hand by traditional craftsman Hirotaka Umehara. The highly skilled rubbing technique ensures a tight seal between the body and lid, allowing the tea leaves to be thoroughly steamed. The tea strainer is a ceramic mesh called Ceramesh that is integrated into the teapot.
