I had the pleasure and honor of make both the wedding and groom’s cake for a lovely couple. The venue was so peaceful and had great views. I wish the newlyweds the best and thank them greatly for entrusting me to share in their day with my cakes.
The cake is a simple burlap and lace themed cake made of sponge cake and almond cake and both cake flavors had raspberry filling and the whole cake was covered with vanilla buttercream.
The manatee groom’s cake is make with red velvet cake and buttercream that was tinted red. This way, when the cake is cut, it will resemble flesh and blood. The entire manatee cake was covered with fondant and sits onto of a bed of rocks so that the tail, fins and head are suspended above the cake board.
